Google and mapquest show no lake. Don't worry - they are wrong. Here's a
satellite photo showing the lake that google and mapquest call Echo Lake
and also the smaller lake further South that I am telling you is Echo
Lake. This photo is about six miles from top to bottom. You can see
downtown Presque Isle with its commercial airport near the top and near the
bottom the location of the house and the entrance to the state park. I
put a yellow dot at my best guess of the location.
This is not a lakefront house. If you can afford one, go for it. - or
maybe not. Remember, you are right at the state park entrance. If you
walk down the driveway to the street, you are most of the way to the park.
Walk the rest of the way to the park and you're most of the way to the
lake. You can swim, rent a canoe, launch your boat - in short, enjoy the
lake at almost no expense.
